Yu is a postdoctoral fellow in Chemical and Biological Engineering. He received his B.Sc. degree in Food Science and Engineering from Tianjin University of Science and Technology, China, and his Ph.D. in Food Science China Agricultural University. His recent research focuses on designing and constructing novel virus-like particle structures, engineering MS2 virus-like particle into platforms for vaccines. Outside of the lab, Yu enjoys cooking, getting quality sleep, and watching Stephen Curry’s games at home.
