Matthew LuciaMatthew is a PhD student in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department co-advised with Neha Kamat. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia University in Chemical Engineering. His research interests involve developing protein engineering methods in synthetic minimal cells for applications in engineered living materials. Outside of the lab, Matthew enjoys playing cello, mixology, and trying new restaurants in Chicago with friends.
