Brett is a PhD student in the IBiS program at Northwestern University. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Lake Forest College. He is researching assembly and encapsulation properties of the 1,2-propanediol utilization bacterial microcompartment. Brett’s research interests lie in next-generation biotechnology and applying bioethics to synthetic biology. Outside of the lab, Brett can be found taking evening walks with friends or online playing video games.
