Jay goes into the Mars-simulated habitat

The University of Hawaii runs an experiment funded by NASA entitled HI-SEAS. In HI-SEAS, 6 people live in a habitat designed to simulate how a mission on Mars will be like for 8 months. Jay, a visiting scholar in our lab, is one of six who will be calling the dome atop a volcano in Hawaii home for the next 8 months.

Jay shares his last few moments of freedom outside the habitat in this video here.
